Personalized Plans to Help You Feel Better Quickly
You will have the opportunity to meet individually with Mary Joan, a compassionate therapist specializing in postpartum depression and adjustment. She will thoroughly and quickly determine the best plan, personalized just for you, to help you feel better as quickly as possible. The sessions are 50 minutes in length and babies are always welcome. Phone or Skype sessions may also be arranged.
If you don't like the way you are feeling, or you are tired of pretending you feel fine - when you really don't, attending for a few supportive therapy sessions can really help. Feeling better begins with one small step... reach out today.
Strategies to Help You Cope Better Together
Your partner is invited to attend at least a session or two together with you. The purpose of the session is to provide support, information and strategies to help him learn what to do help you.
During the session, he will also be assessed to determine how he is coping and if appropriate, he may be offered individual sessions to support him through this time of adjustment. Partners can also experience postpartum depression and I am here to support him as well.
You may also benefit from couple therapy to strengthen your relationship after a baby arrives. Couples with a young family are under considerable stress and it can be a very challenging time for your relationship. It is easy to lose touch with each other and to begin to feel disconnected from the person you wanted to create a family with. If feelings of disconnection, bitterness or resentment are seeping into your relationship, reach out now as a little bit of support can quickly get your relationship back on track. You worked hard to create this family, you deserve to enjoy it together.
